Topic Modeling: All Mistakes I Did, so You Don't Have To
With huge amount of textual data available today (especially when all the transcripts are included), it would be a shame to not get some interesting insights from it. Topic modeling can not be used just for categorization, but also for getting some new knowledge out of data.
Through the anecdotes of my blunders, you will learn how to attempt your topic modeling project and realize that this is not that hard to do. And if you end up deciding that topic modeling is not for you, the you are still left with some random facts about cognitive science, discussions of programming on the internet, or other topics.
